Australia vs England 4th Test Betting Preview

Australia are the favourites to win this fourth Test after already securing the Ashes on home soil. The Baggy Greens continued to dominate in the third Test and wrapped up the series victory. They are now eyeing a clean sweep and can set up a whitewash with a fourth successive victory here.

England are playing for pride only at this point after disappointing showings in the first three Tests that have included some poor displays, especially with the bat. A reaction is expected from Ben Stokes’s side but even that might not be enough.

Team News

Australia could have vice-captain Steve Smith back after he missed the third Test will illness. Usman Khawaja stepped in for him and could be the one to make way should Smith return. It is likely the homes side stick with their opening pairing of Travis Head and Josh Wetherald.

Nathan Lyon picked up an injury in the last match and will miss this one alongside Pat Cummins, who has only just returned from a back issue and could rest up witht he series already in the bag.

That will mean some changes in the bowling attack with Brendan Doggett and Michael Neser pushing for a return to the side after featuring earlier in the series.

England could now make a few changes and look to hand some much-needed experience to others in the squad after a disappointing tour. Ollie Pope is under the most pressure with Jacob Bethell pushing for a game.

Josh Tongue could keep his place but Brydon Carse could miss out if Gus Atkinson returns. It will be interesting to see if Will Jacks continues as the main spin option or if Shoaib Bashir gets an opportunity.
