Elitebet is solid in some areas, but the overall impression isn't that great. They don't have nearly as comprehensive a betting offering as bookmakers like bet365 or Palmerbet. Elitebet is a 100% Australian bookmaker that has been around for a while. However, they still haven’t managed to build a comprehensive betting platform. You’ll find nothing more than a basic set of markets and odds. Plus, Elitebet’s site looks like it was made in the early 2000s’.

The selection of sports is barely decent. You’ll find all of the most popular Australian leagues and tournaments, including AFL, NRL, cricket and so on. More experienced bettors will be glad to hear that Elite bet also offers a few niche sports, like table tennis, darts and cycling. However, these usually have very poor coverage. If you want to bet on more niche sports, we suggest using some of the better-equipped Australian online bookies.

The thing I hated the most about Elitebet Australia was its website. It doesn’t look too flashy, but it’s very fast! The structure is also very simple because there aren’t any advanced betting features or many flashy free bet offers, so I was able to find my way around very quickly.

Since the site is so simple and the betting offer isn’t too overwhelming, I believe that Elitebet would be a good choice only for beginners and casual bettors. However, advanced users may find the lack of features like live streaming and live chat to be problematic.

They cover all the domestic races, in addition to the events from around the world. Elitebet’s international offering is good enough, but they still don’t come even close to what Unibet and bet365 have in place.

Sports Betting with Elitebet

Elitebet has a weak sports betting offer. Having around 17 sports is nothing that will blow your mind, but it should be enough for most casual punters. The most important thing is that all of the popular sports are there. You’ll find cricket, Rugby Union, Rugby League, and soccer, as well as all of the US leagues, like NBA, NRL and NHL.

I like the fact that there are also several niche sports available. But if you are seriously into betting on exotic leagues and tournaments, you’ll probably be better off with some of the big international bookmakers, like Unibet and bet365.

My biggest complaint here is the lack of sports betting markets. They do cover all of the basic ones, but I would like to see a bit more depth, especially for the most popular sports. For example, at the time of writing this review, Elitebet Australia had less than 20 markets for AFL matches. On the other hand, Unibet was offering over 350 bets for the same matches. Lots of regular customers don’t care about the advanced markets, but still, a bit more depth would make Elitebet a lot better.

All of the bookmakers I tested below are having more or less the same odds on AFL. However, Elitebet finished last once again, which shows that they still aren’t a match for other top Australian bookies.

Elitebet Apps

The Elitebet app doesn’t bring anything new or exciting, but it has one advantage – everything is as straightforward as possible. In most cases, I don’t even have to leave the homepage. When you open the app, you’ll see two tabs, one for racing and one for sports. Upcoming events are listed in each tab, with an option to quickly switch between thoroughbred, harness and greyhounds, or in the other case different sports.

You can go to the main sports or racing pages by clicking the buttons in the menu below. But as I said, most of the time, I finished everything on the start page. In case you want to check your account setting or contact customer support, head out to the main menu at the top.

Native apps are available for both iOS and Android. I have tested both of them, and as far as I can tell, some pages load very slowly. On the other hand, the apps have a very similar structure as the desktop site, meaning that switching to mobile should be seamless.

Live Betting – Decent Offer

Elitebet offers a decent live betting section. Everything works perfectly from the user-experience standpoint, but the selection of sports and markets could be better. You can bet in-play on popular sports and leagues, which should be enough for most people.

The number of in-play bets is just far from being the best on the market, so hardcore live betting fans should definitely look elsewhere. All others will be fine.

Keep in mind that due to the Interactive Gambling Act, bookmakers aren’t allowed to accept in-play bets over the internet. That’s why you’ll have to give Elitebet a call to proceed with your live wager. Just find the live market you want to bet, pick up the phone and state your bet. Simple and easy!

Live Streaming – Not Provided

At the time of writing this review, Elitebet doesn’t offer live streaming over their website. This doesn’t come as a big surprise, since live streaming is a high-end feature that usually only the big betting brands can afford.

If you’re as big a fan of in-play betting as I am, then live streaming is an absolute must. I definitely recommend taking a look at bet365 instead. Banking Methods – Short Selection

There aren’t many banking options available at Elitebet Australia. I usually deposit via credit/debit cards, but you can also use EFT or deposit cash at any branch of National Australia Bank. Note that you can’t deposit with PayPal or POLi.

This is a very short list of banking methods, so I hope Elitebet will introduce new options anytime soon. It would be great if at least one e-wallet, like PayPal or Skrill, was available. The selection they have now won’t satisfy even complete beginners, let alone more experienced punters.

Note that you can only withdraw your winnings via credit/debit cards or EFT. Elitebet is also eager to send you a cheque to your registered postal address, which I doubt anybody actually uses nowadays.

Don’t forget to verify your account in time. They’ll ask you to confirm your identity before requesting the first withdrawal or within your first 30 days after registering an account.

Customer Support – No Live Chat

Elitebet customer support is friendly and helpful, but the biggest impression was the lack of live chat support. You can reach out to them via phone of email, but not having a live chat just feels so outdated.

So far, I have only nice things to say about Elitebet’s support agents. This bookmaker proudly points out that they try to provide a memorable experience for every punter.

I love how Elitebet lists the names of its employees who work with customers. It gives me the feeling like I’m betting with a small, family-owned bookmaker that sincerely cares about its customers. That’s, by far, my favourite way to contact customer support, so I hope they’ll add it anytime soon.
