Elitebet is a 100% Australian bookmaker that knows how to cater to Aussie punters’ needs. They proudly offer personalised customer support and comprehensive betting coverage.
My Elitebet review will give you an idea how it compares with its competitors. The horse racing offer and site speed are their forte. This puts them in the most competitive niche and they manage to breakeven. Let’s see how they do it.
- Great racing offer
- Snappy website
- iOS and Android apps
- No live streaming
- Range of payment methods could be better
Elitebet Australia Overview
Elitebet has been around for quite some time. David Dwyer launched the company in 2013. Before Elitebet, he was known as one of the largest on-course Rails bookmakers in Sydney and the President of the NSW Bookmakers Co-operative. With that much experience, Dwyer swiftly transformed newly launched Elitebet into one of the most loved online bookmakers in Australia.
This bookmaker may not be the biggest and brightest on the market, but they have everything an average Aussie punter would want. Horse racing coverage is excellent. They have a full range of domestic events, as well a nice portion of international races.
Selection of sports is also decent. You’ll find all of the most popular Australian leagues and tournaments, including AFL, NRL, cricket and so on. More experienced bettors will be glad to hear that Elite bet also offer an array of niche sports, like table tennis, darts and cycling, as well as an excellent selection of eSports events.
The thing I like the most about Elitebet Australia is their website. It doesn’t look too flashy, but it’s lightning-fast! This is definitely one of the snappiest betting sites I have come across. The structure is also very simple, so I was able to find my way around very quickly. Since the site is so well-made and the betting offer isn’t too overwhelming, I believe that Elitebet would be a fantastic choice for beginners and casual bettors. However, advanced users may find the lack of features like live streaming and live chat to be a bit problematic.
Elitebet Horse Racing
Since the founder of Elitebet is known as one of the top Australian horse racing bookmakers, I wasn’t surprised to see that their racing offer is top-notch. They cover all of the domestic races, in addition to the events from around the world.
As soon as you enter the site, you’ll see the list of upcoming races on the homepage. You can also see the events scheduled for the upcoming days on the same page. To browse the full offer, click on the ‘Racing’ button in the top menu.
Here you’ll find all of the popular racing bets. Elitebet Australia has every market I ever wanted, so it’s safe to say that most of the punters will be pleased with what is on offer. They have tote, exotics, fluc, win/place and even a few special racing betting features.
For example, Elitebet offers the best of the best odds for all horse owners. Also, if you lose because of a protest decision on any Australian race, they’ll pay you as if you’re a winner. These are all the small things that made Elitebet standout, so I hope they’ll add even more similar benefits in the future.
This is the list of horse racing bets available at Elitebet Australia:
- Best Tote Plus SP
- Best of 3 Tote
- Best of 2 Tote
- Win & Place Tote +5%
- Middle Tote
- Fixed Odds
- Best Fluctuation
- First Four
Horse Racing Odds Comparison
As you can see from the table below, Elitebet stood well even when I put them against bookmakers known for their superb racing betting offer. Difference between these 3 is minor. Elitebet is slightly better than famous Unibet but falls behind Palmerbet. It shows how competitive this operator really is. When you go searching for the best racing odds, don’t forget to pay Elitebet a visit. They usually have some of the top racing prices available.
Sports Betting with Elitebet
Elitebet has a decent sports betting offer. Having around 17 sports is nothing that will blow your mind, but it should be enough for most of the casual punters. The most important thing is that all of the popular sports are there. You’ll find cricket, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Soccer, as well as all of the US leagues, like NBA, NRL and NHL.
I like the fact that there are also several niche sports available. But if you are seriously into betting on exotic leagues and tournaments, you’ll probably be better off with some of the big international bookmakers, like Unibet and bet365.
My biggest complaint here is the lack of sports betting markets. They do cover all of the basic ones, but I would like to see a bit more depth, especially for the most popular sports. For example, at the time of writing this review, Elitebet Australia had less than 20 markets for AFL matches. On the other hand, TopSport was offering over 350 bets for the same matches. Lots of regular customers don’t care about the advanced markets, but still, a bit more depth would make Elitebet a lot better.
Sports Betting Odds Comparison
All of the bookmakers I tested below are having more or less the same odds on AFL. It means that Elitebet is a very competitive bookmaker with prices that can stand shoulder to shoulder with what the best Aussie operators have to offer. Both Unibet and Palmerbet are highly respected bookmaker, so it’s a great compliment for Elitebet to be in their company. Even though the selection of markets isn’t the best, the odds are usually up among the highest you can find.
Elitebet App – Fast and Simple!
I love betting with Elitebet app because of one simple reason – everything is as straightforward as possible. In most cases, I don’t even have to leave the homepage. When you open the app, you’ll see two tabs, one for racing and one for sports. Upcoming events are listed in each tab, with an option to quickly switch between thoroughbred, harness and greyhounds, or in the other case different sports.
You can go to the main sports or racing pages by clicking the buttons in the menu below. But as I said, most of the times I finish everything on the start page. In case you want to check your account setting or contact the customer support, head out to the main menu in the top.
Native apps are available for both iOS and Android. I have tested both of them, and as far as I can tell, they perform very well. The apps have the speed of the desktop website and very similar structure, meaning that switching to mobile should be seamless.
The only thing to keep in mind is that you’ll have to get the Android app directly from the Elitebet website. I managed to do it without any hiccups, but if you’re not 100% feel free to take a look at the step-by-step guide below.
- Go to the ‘App’ page by clicking the Android icon in the bottom
- Click on the ‘Download’ button
- Enter the security settings on your phone and enable ‘Unknown Sources’
- Click on the elitebet_app.apk file in ‘Downloads’ to install the app
- You can start betting as soon as the install is over
Live Betting – Decent Offer
Elitebet offers a decent live betting section. Everything works perfectly from the user-experience standpoint, but the selection of sports and markets could be better. You can bet in-play on all of the popular sports and leagues, which should be enough for most of the people.
The number of in-play bets is just far from being the best on the market, so all of the hardcore live betting fans should probably look elsewhere. All others will be fine. I had a lot of fun betting in-play at Elitebet, so I presume you’ll have as well.
Keep in mind that due to the Interactive Gambling Act, bookmakers aren’t allowed to accept in-play bets over the internet. That’s why you’ll have to give Elitebet a call to proceed with your live wager. Just find the live market you want to bet, pick up the phone and state your bet. Simple and easy!

Live Streaming – Not Provided
At the time of writing this review, Elitebet wasn’t offering live streaming over their website. This hasn’t come as a big surprise, since live streaming is a high-end feature which usually only the big betting brands can afford.
In case you are a fan of sports live streaming as much as I am, don’t miss to try bet365. There you can watch live games and races in HD, all from your smartphone, tablet or computer. We made an in-depth review of bet365, so give it a look in case you want to learn more about this bookmaker.
Banking Methods – Short Selection
There aren’t many banking options available at Elitebet Australia. I usually deposit via credit/debit cards, but you can also use EFT or deposit cash at any branch of National Australia Bank. This is a very short list of banking methods, so I hope Elitebet will introduce new options anytime soon. It would be great if at least one e-wallet, like PayPal or Skrill, was available. The selection they have now won’t satisfy even the complete beginners, let alone more experienced punters.
Note that you can withdraw your winnings via credit/debit cards or EFT. Elitebet is also eager to send you a cheque to your registered postal address, which I doubt anybody actually uses in the age of the internet.
Don’t forget to verify your account in time. They’ll ask you to confirm your identity before requesting the first withdrawal or within first 30 days after registering an account.
- Deposit methods: Credit/Debit Cards, Bank EFT and Cash
- Withdrawal methods: Credit/Debit Cards, Bank EFT and Cheques
Customer Support – Very Helpful!
Elitebet customer support is super friendly and helpful. Every time I stumbled upon a problem, they were there to give me a helping hand. So far, I have only nice things to say about Elitebet’s support agents. This bookmaker proudly points out that they try to provide a memorable experience for every punter. They have certainly succeeded in my case!
I love how Elitebet lists the names of their employees who work with customers. It gives me the feeling like I’m betting with a small, family-owned bookmaker that sincerely cares about its customers. If you find yourself in a problem, send an email or pick up the phone. Daniel, David, Jeff, Nick and Matt will be there to help you! The only problem here is the lack of live chat. That’s by far my favourite way to contact the customer support, so I hope they’ll add it anytime soon.

Is Elitebet Safe?
Yes, Elitebet is a very safe online bookmaker. They hold the NSW betting license, which means that this operator has fulfilled all of the highest security and fairness requirements. Both Elitebet and its founder David Dwyer have a great track record. They are reliable bookmakers I fully trust.
One more important thing to mention is that Elitebet features all of the usual tools that can help you gamble responsibly. It includes Deposit Limits, Self-Exclusion and so on. These tools can be very handy, so don’t hesitate to use them when needed. You’ll also find the number of Gambling Help Online in the footer or every page. In case you or someone you know are experiencing gambling problems, feel free to give them a call.
Final Verdict – Great for Casual Bettors
Elitebet is a solid bookmaker. However, you can tell from the betting offer that they are one of the smaller operators. They don’t have a flashy site or an array of special features, such as live streaming. But everything they do have is of high quality. The odds are comparative, horse racing coverage is great, and the range of sports is decent. And as I mentioned already in this Elitebet review, I love the feel of their website.
Selection of sports markets may not be good enough for some of the experienced punters. However, casual bettors will be just fine. Elitebet truly cares about the customers and tries to provide the best betting experience for everyone. If you’re searching for a simple and reliable betting site, I highly recommend Elitebet.
