Five-time BBL champions Perth Scorchers are the favourites to take this opening encounter and are the overall second favourites to lift silverware at the end of the season.

They had a disappointing Big Bash League campaign last time and will be hoping to put that firmly behind them when they welcome the Sixers to the Optus Stadium.
