BetDeluxe may be a relative newcomer compared to some, but it’s owner Noah Rose is a well-known name in horse racing circles. He is an on-track bookmaker who, after many years of doing business in person, decided to go online. After partnering up with the popular ‘BetMakers’ platform, he launched an online sportsbook in early 2020.
Since Mr Rose is such a well-known name around here, BetDeluxe started getting traction very quickly. I joined as soon as they went live. Nowadays, most of the newest bookmakers in Australia are actually just new brands from already established companies. So it’s always good to see completely fresh faces that bring a new approach to online betting.
As you could probably guess, BetDeluxe’s speciality is horse racing. They have quite a decent offer if you’re a fan of domestic events. Greyhound racing fans will also be pleased, as there are quite a few events covered.
Unfortunately, their sports offering isn’t the most developed, but you’ll find all of the most popular sports, like NRL, AFL, cricket and a full range of popular US leagues.
BetDeluxe Horse Racing Offer
As I mentioned at the beginning of this review, BetDeluxe is one of the best horse racing bookmakers among bookies of that size. They cover both domestic and international events which are neatly divided under two tabs. Everything is listed under the racing page in the top menu, while the upcoming and most popular races are displayed on the home page as well.
When it comes to markets, BetDeluxe has all the basic bets. It’s not the deepest selection I have ever seen, but it should be enough to please casual punter. They have everything from win/place to the full range of exotics, like a trifectas, exactas, quinellas and so on.

Sports Betting at BetDeluxe
Sports betting isn’t BetDeluxe’s forte. They have a very slim offering. I counted around 10 different sports at the time of writing this review. You won’t find any of the niche sports here. However, all of the big ones are present.
They cover not just NRL, AFL, NBA, soccer and other popular sports, but also offer things like motor racing and darts betting. BetDeluxe’s sports offering is no match for the likes of bet365 or Unibet.
Everything is held under a single ‘Sports’ tab where you can easily navigate through sports and leagues. Another downside here is that the selection of markets isn’t the best. You’ll get all of the most popular ones. However, if you want to enjoy some exotic bets, it would be better to look elsewhere.

Live Streaming – BetDeluxe TV
The BetDeluxe TV is always available at the bottom of the screen. All you need to do is click the ‘play’ button to start streaming. They cover many of the domestic and international races. It includes thoroughbred, harness, as well as greyhounds.
However, the selection of races isn’t that broad and they don’t have sports at all. BetDeluxe TV just isn’t a match for what bet365 or Unibet have on offer. Still, it’s a great feature that allows you to follow live races with no strings attached.
Live Betting – Still Not Available
At the time of writing this review, BetDeluxe does not offer live betting. I am, personally, a huge fan of in-play punting, so this is quite a big drawback in my books. BetDeluxe is still a work in progress, so I assume that they’ll add more advanced betting features later down the road.
If you want to bet live right now, I suggest you visit bet365. They have probably the best in-play betting platform in Australia, which is both easy to use and covers an extensive range of sports and racing events. Unibet and Betfair also have their advantages, so you should definitely give them a look as well if you want to search around and compare first.

At the time of writing, BetDeluxe has a solid app offering but we still think you’d be better off with bet365, especially if the overall product is the priority to you. They’re still like advanced features, like in-app live streaming, so we can’t put them together with other top Australian sports betting applications.
The web app has four tabs in the bottom, ‘Home, ‘Sports, ‘Racing’ and ‘Promotions’, where you can access all of the most important areas of the site. The BetDeluxe TV button is also there, which makes streaming on mobile very quick and easy. A live chat icon is always in the lower right corner, so assistance is always just a tap away.
Payment Methods
This is one of the areas of BetDeluxe that needs the most improvement. For now, you can only bet with POLi or bank transfer. Since POLi can only be used for deposits, the only withdrawal option is bank EFT.
However, BetDeluxe states on the site that they are waiting for the merchant facility approval to enable credit/debit cards transactions. So it’s safe to say that at least Visa and MasterCard will be available sometime soon.
The great thing here is that withdrawals are very swift. That’s why winnings were almost always on my account within 24 hours, which is excellent!
Don’t forget to verify your account before requesting a withdrawal. It’s a standardised process that usually takes a few days to finish. However, you can’t make any transactions before verifying your identity.

Final Verdict
BetDeluxe is a simple betting site, without almost any additional features that make them stand out. They offer live streaming, but it’s limited only to a handful of selected races and sports events still aren’t broadcast.
There are a few more downsides, such as the lack of sports markets and a weak selection of payment methods. BetDeluxe is a decent bookmaker if you want to bet on horses, but they are way behind market leaders when it comes to sports betting. Because of all this, we are sure that you’ll be much better off with some more established betting site, such as bet365.
