Paul vs Tank Betting Preview
Gervonta Davis (30-0-1 – 28 KOs) is the current WBA lightweight world champion and will be a clear favourite to win this fight despite the weight difference between his opponent.
Jake Paul (12-1-0 – 7 KOs) has mainly fought former MMA and UFC stars in his boxing career and suffered his only loss when Tommy Fury secured a points win against him in 2023. However, he has claimed two unanimous points wins over Mike Tyson and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in his previous two bouts and will relish another big occasion in the spotlight.
‘Tank’ Davis, 30, heads into this clash following a draw with Lamont Roach in Brooklyn in March. Roach stepped up from super featherweight to face Davis for his lightweight crown but fell short of getting the decision. Many felt Gervonta should take the rematch with Roach before this opportunity presented itself.
Before the draw with Roach, Davis had amassed a winning run thanks to impressive victories over Ryan Garcia, Isaac Cruz, and Rolly Romaro and Mario Barrios, who both now hold welterweight world titles.
As it stands, it is not clear what the weight limits will be for this contest but it is rumoured to be a 10-round exhibition with the result appearing on either fighter’s official record.
Undercard Preview
The undercard that will support the Jake Paul vs Tank Davis has now been announced. Alycia Baumgardner will defend her WBA, WBO and IBF super featherweight titles against Leila Beaudoin.
All the titles are on the line at super bantamweight as Brit Ellie Scotney and Mayelli Flores Rosquero battle for undisputed supremacy.
Another highlight will see Gary Antuanne Russell defend his WBA super lightweight belt against mandatory challenger Andy Hiraoka.
