BBL 13 Odds – Outright Winner Odds for 2023/24

Outright winner odds are available with Australia’s best bookies. We looked at how bet365, Unibet and Palmerbet all compared in the winner futures market.

The Perth Scorchers are the favourites the lift the trophy this year, closely followed by Sydney Sixers and Adelaide Strikers.

It is always important to back a selection at the best price you can get. For example, as you can see below, if you want to back the Sixers to win BBL 13 then you’d be better off backing them with bet365 compared to Unibet or Palmerbet in this instance.

These odds will change as the tournament progresses, but this is how it stands before the action gets underway.

BBL 2023/24 – Betting Tips and Predictions

Here you will find our best bets for BBL 2023/24, also known as BBL 13. We have highlighted the team we think can do well this season, as well as players that could do well in other markets. As ever, we always look to find some value and won’t shy away from highlighting bigger-priced picks. As well as these top tips, read on to see a more in-depth look at the 2023/24 tournament.

Winner Bet: Melbourne Renegades Overpriced

The odds for Melbourne Renegades to win BBL 13 look far too big. They put in some eye-catching displays in the group stages last season before fading in the knockouts but have another well-rounded squad. Quinton de Kock and Joe Clarke have come in to bolster the top order, while the spin of Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Adam Zampa backs up the experienced pace of Kane Richardson and Peter Siddle. The price of 10.00 with bet365 is too big. A bet on a top 4 finish at 2.15 is also appealing.

Top Batter: Hales to Shine for the Thunder

There is no doubting Alex Hales’ pedigree when it comes to BBL performances. He is the highest-scoring overseas player in tournament history and can hit top gear again, especially now he has retired from international duty and has his full focus back on this contest. Sydney Thunder can make the play-offs again and he can be a big part of that with more appearances compared to the nine he managed last season.

Top Bowler: Dooley to Star for Hobart

Paddy Dooley was the leading spinner in the last BBL and can build on that this time around. Hobart narrowly missed out on the play-offs last season but can again push for inclusion. Should they go far then Dooley should have plenty of wickets to his name along the way. The unorthodox left-armer has been in fine form, first in the Zimbabwe Afro T10 and then most recently in the Marsh Cup for Tasmania with six wickets in his last four outings.

BBL 2023/24 Betting Preview

BBL 13 gets underway with Perth Scorchers the favourites to defend their title in 2023/24 and become the first side to make it a hat-trick of Big Bash League championship victories.

Perth have added England’s Zak Crawley and Laurie Evans to their ranks in the overseas player draft and the bookies are backing them to make history. However, Sydney Sixers and Adelaide Strikers, who are next in the market, will be keen to push them all the way this time around. Tom Curran and James Vince have bolstered the Sixers, while the Strikers bagged Rashid Khan, Jamie Overton, and Adam Hose in the draft.

Last season’s beaten finalists, Brisbane Heat, used the draft to add Colin Munro, Sam Billings, and Paul Walter to their ranks. They are considered outsiders by the bookies to go one better this time up. Another factor worth considering when betting on the BBL this season is how much of a factor home advantage was last term. Visiting teams only won on 18 occasions from the 55 regular season fixtures.
