Top 4 Finish: Punjab to be Surprise Package
Punjab Kings have not made the IPL play-offs since 2014 but this could be their year to finally go further in the competition. They are priced at 2.88 with Unibet for a top four finish and they are capable of making it happen. With skipper Shikhar Dhawan and young opener Prabhsimran Singh they are capable of scoring quick runs. Liam Livingstone, Jonny Bairstow, Jitesh Sharma and Sikandar Raza offer explosive middle-order power. It is the bowling attack that really stands out with the addition of Harshal Patel to Arshdeep Singh and Kagiso Rabada. They will need more from Rahul Chahar but can cause a few upsets this time around given their overall squad balance.

Top Batter: Kohli and Padikkal to Shine
Virat Kohli is consistently in the top runscorer charts and his form with the bat has been impressive before he missed the Test series against England due to personal reasons. Expect him to amass more runs for RCB this season next to Faf du Plassis. His price of $10.00 with bet365 looks fair. Another option to consider at a bigger price is Devdutt Padikkal at Lucknow. He is likely to open with KL Rahul moving down the order and this could his chance to shine. If Lucknow can go deep in this year’s edition then his price of $51.00 with Unibet is far too big.

Top Bowler: Consider Pathirana, Harshal and Bishnoi
Matheesha Pathirana enjoyed a fine IPL last season and can build on that this time around. His Malinga-inspired sling action proved difficult to combat as he took 19 wickets in 12 matches. He is likely to see more action from the start of this year’s tournament and can be in the mix for top wicket-taker at 19.00 with Unibet. Given the fact we think Lucknow can have a good season then Ravi Bishnoi can also push near summit of the top bowler standings. He’ll need to improve but his price of $17.00 looks appealing. IPL 2024 Betting Preview
The 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League looks like it will be as competitive as ever. Gujurat Titans were made the early favourites ahead of serial winners Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings before those two eventually took their place at the top of the market. However, the betting suggests we are in for a competitive edition.
Beaten finalists in 2023, the Titans have retained much of last season’s squad, including the likes of Rashid Khan, Kane Williamson, and Shrubman Gill, but will have to adapt quickly after skipper Hardik Pandya moved on to Mumbai Indians. How they cope with this loss could dictate their chances this time around.
Mumbai, as well as adding Hardik, boast a brilliant top order of Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav. Key to their hopes will be how well the bowling attack can back up star man Jasprit Bumrah.
Defending champions Chennai Super Kings have also retained many of their star men while also adding hot New Zealand property Rachin Ravindra to their top order. That said, CSK don’t have the youngest squad so figuring out how much petrol they have in the tank will be vital when betting on them.
Finally, don’t rule out a few surprises along the way from Lucknow Super Giants and even outsiders Punjab Kings who could finally make a play-off appearance. Both have good balance about their squads.
