Bahrain vs Australia Betting Preview
Australia will look to take an important step towards World Cup qualification when they take on Bahrain in Group C of the third round of the Asia qualifying stage.
They head into this match on the back of a goalless draw at home to Saudi Arabia that leaves them needing a win to try and close the gap to group leaders Japan and move away from the chasing pack.
Bahrain, meanwhile, suffered a late loss against China and sit one off the bottom of the group but well within touching distance of those above them should they upset the Socceroos.
Australia will be favourites to take the win and should have too much for Bahrain here if they can produce the levels they should be capable of under new boss Tony Popovic. That said, Bahrain beat them in the reverse fixture in September to end the reign of manager Graham Arnold and will be aiming to do the double here.

Team News
Australia have plenty of options and a number of attackers vying for those key positions in a side that failed to take chances in the previous game.
Ajdin Hrustic was taken off at half-time against Saudi Arabia but that was apparently a tactical change rather than injury, which means he may be available for this if Popovic decides not to freshen up the attacking department.
He was replaced by young Victory attacker Nishan Velupillay for the second half but he himself had to be replaced in the final 15 minutes after picking up an ankle injury. He will be assessed but could miss out.
Bahrain will be without centre-back Waleed Al Hayam after he saw red in the closing stages against China. Sayed Baqer could come in to cover for him.
Mahdi Al Humaidan could come into the side to add extra experience into midfield unless the manager decides to stick with Kamil Al-Aswad to balance the attack.
Predicted Line-ups
Australia: Gauci; Geria, Souttar, Burgess; Miller, O’Neil, Irvine, Bos; McGree, Hrustic, Duke.
Bahrain: Lutfalla; Benaddi, Baqer, Saeed; Emmanuel, Al-Asfoor, Haram, Marhoon; Madan, Al Aswad, Al Jabar.
